Introducing Baby’s First 100 Words Coloring Book

Released

Front cover of Baby’s First 100 Words Coloring Book

Coloring and conversation come together in Baby’s First 100 Words Coloring Book, released February 3, 2026. This addition to the Baby’s First collection connects everyday vocabulary with big, recognizable pictures. For toddlers ages 1–3, the focus is on familiar animals and objects that a grown-up can name while a child explores the artwork. There is room for words, sounds, pointing, and the simple pleasure of choosing a crayon.

Everyday words, one picture at a time

Instead of presenting vocabulary as something to race through, the book gives families pictures to revisit. A subject that appears on the page can become a connection with a pet, toy, or household object. Large images keep the main subject clear and leave space for early marks. Naming is only one way to use a picture: you can describe its color, talk about what it does, or notice a detail your child has already found.

Inside the book

Suggested audience: Toddlers · Ages 1–3

  • Everyday vocabulary. Familiar pictures provide a starting point for naming and conversation.
  • Big, simple artwork. Large subjects give little hands room to color.
  • Connect with daily life. Look for a pictured object at home after coloring it.

A way to enjoy it together

Begin with a picture your child recognizes. Say its name, then pause to see whether they want to point, respond, or keep coloring. Try a question such as “Where have we seen one?” when it fits the moment. Afterward, look for a similar object at home and connect it with the page. There is no need to introduce many words at once. Returning to a favorite picture offers another chance to enjoy the subject and the conversation.
